DXU:555
are a Perth-based AV duo who perform regularly at deuce
events, and who recently had a collaborative track released
on the 2006 Kiss My WAMi DVD.
Their
style couldn't be more different to ours - they have more
of a "US-Style"
- with computer-generated 3D models, tunnels, etc. Super
slick and clubby. The dark, thumping audio is very unlike
the trippy San Francisco scene though, and the combination
works very well.
They
also use very different tools to us, so hopefully you
will be able to grab them before or after their set to
quiz them about their hardware, software and method of
working.
Plug
n Play @ LuxeBar
is
held a couple of Thursdays every month. Check our Events
page for dates in advance.
On
Wednesdays and Thursdays, their entire range of cocktails
are only $11. They're as geeky and serious about their
Mixology as we are about our VJing :)
So..
if you're interested in VJing and want to meet with like-minded
people for an intimate Show 'n Tell, please join us.
